Hobbs employee feedback sparks voluntary benefits re-launch

Hobbs has updated and re-launched its voluntary benefits scheme following an employee feedback survey.

The clothing retailer, which has 1,200 employees and 130 stores in the UK, followed the survey with focus groups to find out which benefits staff were most interested in.

Sarah Jackson, HR assistant at Hobbs, said: “The reason for this change was to restructure the scheme in order to make it more relevant to what our employees were excited by and wanted to see more of, and to make the scheme more accessible and interactive for all employees so they could be truly rewarded for their hard work.”

The scheme, Hobbs Rewards, was launched with provider Asperity Employee Benefits in November. It includes a discounted gym membership, high street savings, supermarket points cards and restaurant vouchers.

Since Hobbs is a predominantly female company, it has also added its childcare voucher scheme to the online site.

Hobbs Rewards was communicated to employees with launch packs that explained the scheme and outlined how to register. Hobbs also hosted workshops to ensure all staff understood how to use the site.

“We are excited about the future of the scheme and the positive impact it will have for the business because happy employees means happy customers,” said Jackson.
