Nothing is more important to us than the security and privacy of employee data. Asperity's multi-tier approach to security and protection of employee privacy exceeds regulatory and legal requirements so that you can be sure that your employee data is in safe hands.

Multi-tier security management

We operate a multi-tier approach to safeguarding of data against unauthorised access:

  • Tier 1 : Physical data security

    All systems and employee data is housed in our secure server cluster which is located at The Bunker - an ultra-secure datacentre in Kent. The Bunker is an ex-MOD command and control centre built 30 metres below ground and designed with protection against nuclear attacks. The Bunker has now been converted into a datacentre with the highest standards of physical and systems security. This ensures that our servers themselves are secured against physical attack as well as network attack.     Physical security at our London office is maintained through the use of digitally recorded CCTV, re-enforced doors and shutters at all entry points, digital key pad and key access on entrance routes and SmokeCloak burglary prevention. All PC hard drives are encrypted as standard.

  • Tier 2 : System and Application Security

    We use a wide range of techniques to maintain logical data security of our systems. For security reasons we do not reveal full details of these; however they include but are not limited to:

    • SSL encryption up to 256bit with certification provided by Thawte

    • Forced complex password system for admin and management logins

    • Time and day based login restrictions for admin and management consoles restricting logins to specific times of the day

    • Multi-tier admin and management user logins maintaining lowest “need to know” security authentication for Asperity’s own staff

    • HR Policies and contracts are in place enforcing data security and privacy and ensuring that all staff are aware of the critical role they play in maintaining the security of our data.

  • Tier 3 : Independent Audit, Assessment and Verification

    It is company policy to submit all of our systems to an independent, third party security audit and penetration test annually. We use specialist consultants who are CISSP accredited (Certified Information Systems Security Professionals) and are registered BCS (British Computer Society) Security Specialists.

    We also use external services which test our security defences daily, 365 days per year, ensuring that our engineers know immediately of any issues or changes.

Privacy of employee data

Asperity is registered under the Data Protection Act registrant number “Z964960X”. We never sell or transfer personal employee data for marketing purposes to any other company.
