New White Paper - "The rise of the nanny employer"
This month's lead research article is entitled "The rise of the nanny
employer" written by Helen Craik, Asperity's Director of HR Policy
& Strategy.
In this white paper, Helen discusses holiday,
pensions, education, childcare, health and stress and voluntary
benefits in the context of the psychological contract between employees
and employers. Key issues covered are :
-
What is a bona-fide employee benefit and what is an intrusion (even a
welcome intrusion) into areas that should properly be an employee's own
responsibility.
- What is the impact of abuse or exploitation of benefits by a minority of employees?
- Should basic skills classes and general education really be an employers responsibility?
Read the full white paper online
If you have any questions or feedback on this white paper then Helen would love to hear them. Helen can be
reached at helen@asperity.co.uk.
Asperity commissions major employee benefits study
Asperity has commissioned a major
study on employee benefits strategy within leading UK corporates. The
study
will look at the design, effectiveness and communication of employee
benefit schemes and will provide a benchmark of the state of employee
benefits
within leading UK employers.
Phase 1 of the study is now
recruiting and face to face interviews with leading employers will
start in the next
few weeks. If you have already been contacted by ourselves or our
market research agency then I'd be tremendously grateful if you could
find the time
to meet the researchers.
If you haven't been contacted yet
and are responsible for benefits strategy in an organisation of more
than 3000
UK based staff then we would love to include you. Alan Voyle, a member
of the Market Research Society, is leading the research for us and he
can be
contacted by email if you would like to be involved. All participants
in the study will be given full access to the detailed analysis
produced.
Alan's email address is alanvoyle@btinternet.com.
