ASPERITY - leading employee benefits

Civil Aviation Authority

Of course Asperity gets very excited about Reward Gateway because it understands just how much value is potentially available to users. But what is even more exciting to Asperity is when an employer embraces the scheme and actively encourages communication initiatives to help promote Reward Gateway to its employees.

This has certainly been the case with the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA).

With over half the CAA workforce using Reward Gateway, CAA were pleased with the level of uptake but they, along with Asperity, wanted the engagement figure to be even higher so that more employees were realising the full value of their employee benefits package. So the CAA embarked on a number of company campaigns with Asperity’s support.

Increasing awareness

The CAA held Benefit Awareness days at it’s two core sites with the sole purpose to promote to employees the range and value of CAA employee benefits.  Asperity hosted a stand showcasing Reward Gateway and also invited Westfield, its healthcare provider who were able to provide further information on the Healthcare Cashplan module available to CAA employees on Reward Gateway.

Asperity also ran a competition over the two days and the feedback surrounding Reward Gateway was extremely positive which was reflected in the spike in registrations in the month following the Awareness Days.

Targeted communications

Asperity also used the Management Information available to identify areas of the business where registrations were low.  Employees here were mainly offline and so Asperity reached them by sending out the Bite Card which gave them 20% off food and drink at mainline railway stations. A follow up flyer, which will be sent out to employees homes is also being planned to educate these employees about the benefits of Reward Gateway.

The CAA is also asking for feedback through numerous employee forums and increasing the number of scheme champions throughout the business.  Asperity will support this initiative and attend forums to further promote and explain the benefit of Reward Gateway.

Alongside all of this, the CAA has been undertaking its own internal reviews regarding internal communications.

What's next

A project is underway to review the intranet and part of the planning is to ensure that Reward Gateway communications are factored in. In addition to that, Asperity will be working with CAA to support an internal communication project that will promote Reward Gateway 4 and the new features that will be available to all employees.

With this level of collaboration between the CAA and Asperity, there is no doubt that the Reward Gateway message is being received loud and clear and soon even more employees will be making those all important savings!
